Kelly Pick
Children and Family Pastor
My name is Kelly Pick. I am a child of God. My very best friend whom I live and serve alongside of, is Jesus. One of my very favorite Bible verses is from John 6:68; “Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life…” There is no place I’d rather be than in the presence of my Savior, Redeemer, and Friend, Jesus.
I have been serving as the Children’s Ministries Coordinator for the Corona SDA Church in Corona, CA for the past thirteen years and have been leading in Children’s Ministries for over twenty-five years. Mty. husband, Greg & I are honored to be a part of the Corona SDA Church. family. We have 3 grown children with amazing spouses and 3 beautiful grandchildren who continue to teach us about what it means to be a child of the kingdom.
It is my joy to share God’s heart with families; first in helping parents to see that they are the most important influence in the spiritual lives of their children, as we take seriously, Deuteronomy 6:6-8. Secondly, in helping children to see that they are the most important person in the universe to God (Matthew 19:14).
God has shared with me the desire to develop kids to see His character and plans for them through the Bible, opening their eyes to the God who sees them as His children, and out of this overflow, to help them to see others through His eyes, also as His children.
A particular focus of mine is to teach kids that they can be spiritual leaders in their own circle of influence and community, affirming their value in the kingdom, and have fun making Jesus famous! Connecting kids to their intergenerational church family is a great way for them to watch faith in action with all ages. I believe that a church family has the privilege and responsibility to share their faith with children, mentoring them and modeling what being a child of God looks like at any age, and how valuable the entire family is as the body of Christ.
