The Children's Ministry Team at the Corona SDA Church is committed to partnering with parents to support them in their God-given role and privilege of raising their children to know and love Jesus. We believe the words of Moses in Deuteronomy 32:47, “This is no trifling matter for you, but rather your very life!” The theme for our Children’s Ministry is “Growing Up With Jesus”. This is reflected throughout the ministry to children and thier parents. Ongoing ministries include weekly Sabbath School, Adventurers: a parent-child ministry for families with children 4-9 years of age, Pathfinders: a teen-leadership ministry for youth, ages 10-18, and a monthly newsletter to the parents of our children. We also minister to our families with children through Children's Church once a quarter, as well as involve them in our weekly Children's Story segment of our worship service. At the beginning of each Church service, all children are given a children's packet complete with activities and snacks and our bulliten contains an activity insert that compliments the sermon of the day. Worship participants of all ages are included in leading all aspects of our worship service, including welcome, scripture reading, prayer, Church Family Praise and special music. Each summer, the church participates in an outreach evangelism event called Vacation Bible School. Our Social Committee plans events throughout the year, keeping the needs of our entire church family in mind, with activies for the children like VeggieTales Family Night, VBS Reunions and Parents Night Out for Valentines Day etc.
